What happens to your ebay account if you screw around with paypal?
 

A seller who has a business set up on ebay, amazon and other sites just ripped me off for $20 in an off ebay transaction. I filed a dispute, won and he didn't have enough money in his paypal to pay me back. I'm almost positive he pulled a fast one before the dispute decided the case. I haven't heard anything from paypal since. I assume his paypal has been limited, but will paypal automatically freeze his ebay account as well, assuming his pp and ebay emails match? I really don't understand why a person would risk or perhaps in this case ruin his entire business over this small amount of money. It was one of the reasons why I didn't bother with any additional precautions on my part. They seemed legitimate because of their ebay feedback. The item was sent to the wrong address so I never got it.

off-ebay transaction won't affect his ebay account. Paypal will prob go into limitation considering he didn't have the funds to cover the case.

Ah, I see. Well I guess he saved his ebay, but not his paypal. Still doesn't make much and yes I did contact him with any success.
