Question about refunds

When you get a refund from a purchase does the money go back to your credit card balance or is it in Paypal funds account? This is for a buying account only with no bank account attached.

The refund would appear in your Paypal account and then you have to withdraw the money or have a check sent to you. They will not credit your card back.
