Is This Safe?
 

I just received a sum of money into my paypal account for the sale of a ebay item.However the buyer contacted me and asked me how much would he have to pay so i would end the listing early and let him send me the money by paypal instead of him having to win the item by bidding.We agreed on a sum of money,i ended the listing and he sent me the money.

Ok but the thing is i told him about paypals 21 day hold so when he went to pay for the item i told him to choose 'services' as a reason for payment,instead of ebay items.So basically ebay was not involved in this transaction at all.

Now i have the funds in my paypal account and they are not being held like my other payments.So i have access to the money basically.Now i am wondering do i send it all to my bank account or just send most of it but still leave a bit in my account so i wont look suspicious??

I was previously told that i should leave a sum in my paypal account but since this was a payment for "services" would paypal be suspicious if i withdrew it all to my bank account?

Since its not connected to ebay you should be fine just do the full transfer.

Are you sure? Everyone says wait and leave it in your account for a while and then withdraw small amounts at a time?

If it is a fairly new account, I would leave some funds in Paypal at all times.

I kind of have the same situation and question as SuperDude. I sell stuff outside of ebay, just on my own. I have a customer requesting to pay me through paypal.

My account is a fairly new stealth account.... will paypal F with me and my money, or will it be a "safe" transaction since it's not an ebay deal?
