Getting paid via paypal but not claiming your money, yet.
 

Is this a good idea?

I'm getting a few payments sent to an email address, but that email address is not even registered to a paypal account yet. Is this a good thing to do? I guess it reduces my chances of being limited, and I can just register it when there's enough money attached to it, and then "accept" the money. all in one go.

- I read the other day in another Post where a member had done exactly this..
I, personally have never tried it..
-- They said that they could NOT be limited, as the acct was not yet active..
-- So, pitfalls:
a.) How will you get the goods to the folks? Will you ship asap, to keep your ebay rating up + if so, how ill you know what their paypal address will be to ship to-- I guess just in the Paypal pyt email?
b.) Can you afford to push the goods out, without taking any funds in for a while?
c.) What would Prevent Paypal from say-- you get over $500 in there.. so you activate the acct today, you would still need to VERIFY that acct with a cc + bank info which takes 2 days....to lift the $500 Limit?

Just a couple Pros/cons?

Buyers can cancel the payment anytime as long as it hasn't been picked up yet. Probably not a good idea to leave money like that hanging.

I have done it and had no problems. I let a few payments come in and then added the email address to an established paypal account. Only wait about 3-4 days though to add.

Dont sit on your money without claiming it.. Come on , now Paypal will figure your MIA since your not claiming money
