what option do we have when paypal requires SSN?
 

Ok, sort of in a crisis. Will be moving back home about 800 miles away in January and will be out of work for about 2-3 months during that time frame. Was looking into doing ebay full time during that time. However, I do not have a SSN to use on paypal when they start requiring it. Are there any other options to be able to still keep selling on ebay without having to go through the IRS reporting system paypal/ebay will have in place? Thanks!

Not looking good for you here...see eBay and PP require the SSN, once it's asked for...say goodbye to the money for 180 days.

Ok, thanks. Sort of what I figured. Anyone have a Plan B? Is there other checkout/payment services that are acceptable on ebay in the US. Never really looked into it because we all know how much weight the paypal option holds with buyers, but I have enough regular buyers that I dont believe it would effect my sales. Just wondering if I would be able to accept a different method other than paypal without having to accept paypal at all and if there was a logical choice in regards to fees with another merchant thing.....any suggestions?

Yep CCnow is easiest to get approved for, not liked by eBay tho. Google Checkout, and if you want more. Just search up "merchant accounts" here...
