Is it safe to add UK bank account to Singapore Paypal account?
 

I now live in Singapore and I signed up through eBay.co.uk with Singapore address. I added 2 bank accounts which are both obviously singaporian bank account. Everything was done e.g. verify bank account, limit was lifted (I sent all documents to Paypal when they asked.) This account is my real detail.

I have been selling on eBay.co.uk by this account for nearly a year. The problem is I will lose a lot of money when I withdraw money to my singaporian bank account. Paypal exchange rate is a rip off. I calculate that if I withdraw £3,000, what I will receive in $singapore is equal to 2880-2910 if I exchange them at the bank. So I would lose about £90-£120 for £3000 withdrawal.

So I want to know if I can add my UK bank account on my singaporian Paypal account(but the primary bank account on paypal will still be singaporian bank account one. Just add UK bank accont as an additional bank)? So that I won't lose money on the paypal exchange rate.

Is this allowed?

I would doubt you can do that as it is generally a no no to have different countries bank accounts on your registered paypal

An alternative would be if you have a friend in the UK with a paypal account, you can send the funds to him/her as a friend so no fees, then they can put in your UK account

You cant do that, Singapore Paypal account only you to add Singapore Bank OR USA BANK, NO UK bank is allowed
