What info does PP track with Credit Card / Bank Account?
 

Recently I've been reading that users can link a random bank account with PP even though the name and address are totally different. If so, what info are they looking for? Let say to register a credit/debit card, would the full address and name have to match the register's info?

The CC/Debit Card needs to match the stealth info that you provided when opening the account. When they verify the card it can show if the name and address you supplied match. Now when it comes to bank accounts that has to be in your real name. Banks can't provide PP with the account name unless they are served with a subpoena. Now the bank can reject the deposit if the name on the incoming deposit doesn't match the name on the account.

If you plan on withdrawing to any bank account using a stealth account don't, first make sure the bank is okay with your withdrawing funds in different names, so that you won't waste any accounts.
If they ask why you'd have funds coming in from another name, tell them that you have a business partner, or anything else you can think of.

i added a second cc before with a totally different name from my pp account, and the cc also had a different address from what i registered with pp. the card still worked though.

It is possible to put any information on there, as long as one item is legitimate and matches your ip address. PP can get the rest. And I do not think I need to argue that they can and they will.

this is why your Paypal account names should be just a variation/misspelling of your real name. So your bank doesn't notice/care that they are making deposits.
