need help with a purchase using paypal
 

Hi everybody me again
so o.k. I want to make a purchase for over 100.00. I don't want to sent an echeck over PP because most likely they will take my money again and 10-15 days sitting on PP is way to risky! I do not want to add a credit card to my running pp account because I don't want to risk loosing this one too (as they are holding money for the 21 days)
so I thought I want to open another PP account, buy the item and then pay for it and PP asks me to pay with a cc (where I have the money on) and I would link this creditcard and pay for the purchase (no ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names or addresses or anything like this)
NOW the question is: would that work? I don't want them steeling my money again. I figured it may take 1-3 days for them to "maybe" link my real name to something, so how are the chances that this payment would go through? thanks so much again:canada:

Using a separate pp for buying is ok. For buying in general, there is not too much hassle - the hold might be on your seller's end though.

so I tried and opened up a "real" PP and wanted to link the creditcard. came with the errormessage that I have to contact cardproblems@paypal.com. what is wrong? something not matching?

zoompass credit card not a vcc
and I just opened a personal account for buying and not for selling. well the name on the account was sort of like the name on the cc. is that the problem? address was the same.

The name and address do not need to be the same on the card, only the ZIP code. Most credit cards and debit cards use the AVS system, which verify using the ZIP code.

That's one reason why when you go to rent a movie at REDBOX it ask you for the ZIP. PayPal and everyone else verify cards this way.

You check that zoompass is pa yp al useable? I have no knowledge of this card but you prob have to register it so that the zip/postal code of the card matches the one you used for pp.

Oh thanks. the name and postal code on this card it what I used for pp. is that why I got this cardproblems@paypal.com message? did anybody else ever get this?

When pa yp al charges your card, they need for the postal code/zip code to match usually so that's prob why you had that cardproblems message. Where did you pick up the zoompass?

it has something to do with mobile phone numbers. is that a vcc as well?

Oh I see it now - the zoompass prepaid mastercard. Hmm I wonder if it's having the same problems on pa yp al that the Vanilla Mastercard does. The Vanilla Mastercard is a gift card that you can pick up here in Canada at various grocery stores but is rejected by pa yp al - could be the same problem.

I will apply for a visa giftcard. no problem to get it from the RBC or post?

Easy as pie. Last time, I used RBC - I liked.

Have you tried using a moneypak?
Can transfer up to 250$ instantly to your paypal-- or more if you insert your social.
Which i wouldn't recommend.

But i have never had a problem paying someone through Echeck.
