Changing your name on Pay-Pal**
 

Wuts up, I have requested to change my name on pay-pal .. and was asked to send in a valid I.D with my new name .. I was able to get creative on the I.D, .. Just curious, is this safe to send in? I don't want to raise any red flagss.

Red Flag has already been raised the second you made that request.

Why are you requesting a name change?

I was rushing to make the account .. and used my real name by accident. I just sent in my altered I.D in to Pay-Pal, and told them that the name i registered with is an alteration of my real birth name (which is shown on the ID)..

I'm going to keep this count legitimate for at least a month, buying books, dvd's etc online.. So i can gain some trust with eBay & Pay-Pal.

There's no eraser with these things. You cant just change the name and the old one is wiped out. That name is on there in the records forever. You cant change a name on an account without a world of hurt. That account is toast in my opinion

Why is it toast because i changed the name? ive never used the name with pay-pal before..i've only used it on eBay i think, thats the only reason i requested to change it..

Let me clear it up a bit, i could have left the name as is, and I would be fine .. i decided to change it because when i sign up to eBay i want to use the other/new name.. i dont mind if pay pal has the original or real name, as long as it switches to the new name, so i can use the new name when i make my eBay
