What do with a paypal echeck?
 

I never gotten a echeck

1. Are they safe

2. The buyers address is unconfirmed

3. Is a echeck like buyers bank account?

You have to wait until it clears. It takes a very long time so I advice you to NOT accept it because they are used alot by scammers.

How can he scam me?

he will hope that you send the item out before it clears...and then obviously it might not of cleared and then you will be out of pocket and the item.
Best thing to do is to wait until it clears....and send him a message explaining item wont be sent untill echeck clears.

I hate echecks b/c they take forever to clear. Paypal will tell you upfront not to ship before it clears and you shouldn't. I dont know why anyone would actually. But, yea, they're ok I get them every once in awhile. I just let it clear, transfer the money, then ship it.

Few buyers of mine have done this - and I write them back about waiting to clear. Most of the time they are ok with this - few buyers have pushed back and I look at their history on eb ay. If feedback is in the hundreds, I ask for their phone number and call them up. I feel out every transaction.

E-checks are completely fine to accept. The buyers know it will take 3 to 5 days to clear their bank accounts. I get them all the time. The address will show as "unconfirmed" until it has cleared and will be changed to "confirmed" address.

One of the benefits of echecks is there is a $5 maximum that paypal will charge in fees. So if you received a payment for $400 then the paypal fee is only $5.00.

Just don't ship out the item until you get a payment cleared email and you should be fine.
