How I'm saving 3.95 per VCC
 

Hi All -

Instead of buying the Vanilla Visas and spending the extra 3.95 per card for activation.... I now use Chase Visa Gift Cards.

If you have more than 15k in your combined Chase accounts, they will sell you Visa Gift Cards for free with no activation fee or anything. Minimum balance is $25 per gift card.

So the card only costs you 25 flat? Pretty sweet but to leave 15k with a bank and low interest on that....i don't know.

i have used those for a while, but have been suspended before due to linkage
did everything right , but used chase visa gift cards, when i changed to vcc, i didn't get linkage suspension anymore....

Yup, only costs 25 flat. The 15k is made up of a combination of all of your accounts with chase, so if you have 5k in credit card debit, 5k in savings, and 5k in a checking account then you have 15k in accounts with chase. And yes, the credit card debit counts as a positive balance towards your total account number. Which is interesting, because you can have 99k in debit and 1k in savings and you'll be treated as someone who has 100k with the bank.
