withdrew to an inactive bank account
 

i withdrew money to an inactive bank account on accident. what will happen to my money and will i get it back? how long of time period? the transaction says completed on paypal but since the account is closed i wont get my money in the bank. will paypal limit me? thanks

It will probably come back since its got nowhere to go. Just wait a little bit and see.

It should bounce right back as there is no place for it to go.

As long as there are no other issues it should take less then a week to find out.

ya i looked on paypals boards for answers after postign and they said 3-4 days for the withdraw to get rejected and then another 3-4 days to get the money back into your account.

Im just nervous about the account being limited. I dont need that right now. Its going to well on there so i guess its about time to have something screw up.

Just gunna hope and pray that everything goes well and that i have the money back into my account by late next week.

Can take as long as 10-14 days so you have to be patient.

ya i figured. it will prolly be there by the end of the month

wanted to update the thread so if this happens to anyone else they know what to do.

i received my money back immediately after the bank it was sent to denied it. there was no wait time on receiving funds back like we previously thought. then paypal will automatically disable that bank account from your account so it cannot be used anymore. good thing i had my other account on there already or it might have rose a flag up.

there was only a 3 days turnaround period from when i sent it to when i receive the funds back.


pretty fast IMO. i was quite shocked to be honest with you.

I have experienced the very same just a few weeks ago. I requested withdrawals on wednesday and the money was bank in my PP account the following monday.
