| adventureman89 | 03-18-2011 01:46 PM | Can I open a stealth eBay and PayPal account and sell low risk items right away? I am trying to build a new eBay account sell low risk items right when I open the account, till I build a good feedback, then I will change to Paymate.
Is this doable? |
| Red X | 03-18-2011 04:36 PM | It is possible, but still risky, ebay will suspend you for just about anything, even if you're selling a piece of paper. If you plan on doing this, take it very slow until you reach 10 positive feedback, then head straight for Paymate, and don't forget paymate does credit checks now. |
| adventureman89 | 03-18-2011 05:25 PM | Say I sell 10 ipod usb cables that I have, within a week, and get 10 feedback.
Doesn't eBay only look at your account when someone reports you? |
| biggunn | 03-23-2011 03:19 PM | I would suggest not listing items that could have copyright issues such as using "ipod" in the title. Quote:

| adventureman89 | 03-26-2011 07:33 PM | What if I sold some postcards that I have lying around. .75 free shipping?
Is that risky? |
| ebayerOG | 03-26-2011 07:38 PM | i reckon postcards would be fine mate |
| stickmade | 03-26-2011 07:47 PM | I've sold low risk items with no problems on new accounts, But thats just me i've never had any problems. |
| ebayerOG | 03-26-2011 07:51 PM | the ipod leads would be ok as well but as said try not to put them brand names in the title |
| Ted123 | 03-26-2011 11:46 PM | you would be better off getting your 10 feedback by buying and not selling... look at the 1 cent auctions... |

They will be looking for the selling feedback. You need to get some sales going. Just start putting some stuff on there. Cables, pens, hats, baseball cards, whatever. Just list some stuff. You dont have to be nervous about listing, if ebay decides to boot you, they are gunna boot you. Nothing you can do about it and sometimes it doesnt matter what you sell or how you sell it. So just learn from mistakes and list what you would like to list.

| OfficialGenius | 03-27-2011 02:57 AM | Yes, Steve is correct. But another concern is the amount of money you bring into the new paypal account since when paypal suspends your account, it affects your ebay account also.
I've heard not to go over $500 a week or your paypal will get limited. I haven't gone over this amount so I'm not 100% sure if it's true but maybe others can chime in. |
| stevesokol21 | 03-27-2011 03:05 AM | I get really close to that 500 mark but have not since my last couple accounts that were booted for too much activity i think. I have 10 day auctions and am around 350 a week and around 500 in the 10 days. Sometimes more but not by much.
My previous accounts were making about 800-1000 a week and they were pretty new so i got flagged and now are limited. But i fully verified those too
now i have multiple accounts and only one of the accounts has the limits removed on it. The rest of the paypals have the $500 a month withdraw on it. I think if you leave the accounts alone and not fully verify them you will be in better odds with limitations and such. Maybe not tho. It all depends n what you sell im sure.

I also forgot to mention that what you sell also plays a part. It's either VERO or NON-VERO items. And what I'm guessing is that Steve doesn't sell VERO items which is why he is able to receive alot of money and not get limited, if he does get limited he won't be asked to provide SSN.
When limited, they only ask for SSN from sellers who sell VERO items, from my experience.
Therefore, what I've stated BEFORE his post relates to VERO items.
Now, I'm not sure if VERO sellers would like to share the maximum amounts they have received successfully without any problems. Or the magic amount # they have received frequently that triggered a limitation.
I just got back in the selling game recently. |
| stevesokol21 | 03-27-2011 12:35 PM | yes no vero for me here. and if something does get limited it varies, i have had them ask for the whole shabang and other just ask for photo id and bills and stuff.
i just made new accounts since i didnt want to deal with it. i learned what i did wrong and moved on. the 6 month delay on my money sucked but it was in january and february so that will make for a nice summer and possibly pay for my trip to florida in november.
thanks

| bork_bork | 03-27-2011 08:10 PM | Every Stealth account I've opened I have never waited around to sell. I usually sell 7 non vero items like small collectables. Then 3 low end vero items($5-$20). Really it's just a break even method until you get off the new seller limits. I have not had any problems.:amen: |
| KingRay | 04-15-2011 11:40 PM | NEVER had any limitations and have been using this as my only income since the day I opened it. I have pulled in over $800-1k/week every week with no problems. They did call me and see how I was doing and if I needed anything by way of help but no limitations. why would they limit me anyway.

| ShadyOne | 04-16-2011 08:44 AM | I think this is placed on new accounts.
How old is your account?
