Instant withdrawal today - possible glitch?

Hi - something happened today and I had to jump right on here and tell you guys.

I had a PayPal account that was a week old - received a payment for £205 - (£197 after fee).

I owed someone some cash for a transaction that went belly up (PayPal fault again!) so I tried to send personal payment. I got the "You cannot send funds because you account is limited message". I clicked the resolution centre and I had no limitation...so I tried again and got the same message. I thought it may be a glitch in the system so I opened up a Barclays saver and added that to the account and as soon as I did it took me to the resolutions centre with all the usual crap to remove limitation. So I figured I had the limitation already from a bot - but it just took a time to get to me.

Account dead and I have to wait 180 days to get my cash! Ready for the mega weird bit? I look at my emails and I have three.

Email 1:
We confirm you have added a bank account (12:39pm)

Email 2:
Your account has been limited blah blah blah (12:40pm)

Email 3: :clap::clap:
Your PayPal funds are now eligible for withdrawal (12:41) :hail::hail:

So I log back in and withdraw!!!
Email 4:
We're transferring money from your PayPal balance to your bank account.

Is this a glitch or what? The money is on the way but I have never heard of this happening to anyone before?! If it's just a case of getting a limitation whilst actually being logged on etc then I'll get suspended every day by telling them to f*ck off on phone :juggle::D

Just thought I'd share my daily bit of luck with you.

Every story has ups and downs right? Well I opened the wrong type of saver with Barclays and can't get at the money for two months, ha ha. Better in my bank earning interest than with those thieving sheeeeeee-ites!

Peace

Sounds like they only needed a bank to confirm and once you did it was lifted? What is so unusual? Am I missing something?

The account is still limited. There are 9 things to do in the 'steps to remove limitation' list. The limitation still stands and the account is screwed...but they let me still withdraw rather than making me wait 180 days.

Wait a bit to make sure your money hits bank...do not assume you are clear yet..

It is status 'completed' on transfer...usually no going back from the completed stage...

Hi guys, the money went through fine...

HOWEVER, limitation that I suddenly got on my account was back dated to July 13th 2010 (on limitation page).

How the hell did that happen?:doh: So when I took a payment in, and subsequently this seemed to initiate a 9 month old limitation, I got the YOUR FUNDS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR WITHDRAWAL email.

PayPal backdating limitations is something new on me! But it took me passed the 180 hold, so I could withdraw instantly.
