Paypal limited - Some Problems

Well, my paypal got liimited as soon as I neared $2000.

Of course Paypal is making jump through many hoops, as I am faxing them all this stupid information to them.

My problem is invoices. I try to provide paypal proof of my inventory by taking a picture of the item with the paypal invoice but paypal says

After review, it appears the invoices we received were the
invoices for your buyers.

An invoice is an original bill of sale referencing where you purchased or
acquired the items you are selling along with the name and telephone number
of your supplier. We are unable to review your account until invoices that
fit the above mentioned criteria are received.

I bought this item at a freaking TARGET STORE. How do I convince them of that?

I know I have to make an invoice using a template but what the hell I don't have a supplier!

Plus people are leaving bad feedback after I try to explain what happened, and even I refund the money. I guess I need to start over again.

I had the same issue. But all I did was take photos of stock, and explain I bought the items privately and paid with cash, so don't have any proof at all.

It was fine, and them lifted my account limit.

Do I provided a target recept as invoice?

Lisa B 02-27-2008 09:28 AM

What!

I assumed GayPal only asked for invoices from People with Merchant accounts, I had no idea they asked everyone for invoices and pictures of their inventory.

WTF! That is sooo stupid.

Does FeeBay/GayPal not realize there are people who DO NOT have an excess of inventory and that maybe just perhaps their items were purchased for personal use and they may no longer want them and decide to sell on eBay?

That is sooooo lame

In any case, I'm taking pics of all my stuff, those jerks

No offense and i apologize in advance if i am wrong, but something just doesnt seem right.

How are you able to buy items from target and make a profit? My initial thought is that you bought cheap things and passed them off as more expensive things and thats why you are getting bad feedback even though you refunded their money. I have only had that happen like twice and both times the person ended up having their account suspended within a few weeks and the feedback was removed.

But to answer your question if you just print out your credit card statement and circle where you bought the items, that works too.

I was selling nintendo wii

DeathToEbay 02-27-2008 09:35 AM

I called gaypals They told me to email resolution @ gaypal.com with explanation.

Some high school dropout was on the phone.

I heard that there's only one person in OHAMA, NE that does all this account review. I might got him on the phone.

I think he's screwed. Why dont you take pictures of the target receipt and send it to them. How many Wii's were you selling. I cant see how they want invoices if it was just one. I sold a PS3 awhile ago and had a similar thing and I just sendt them the toys r us receipt and was fine. Have you shipped the items yet? You're never going to get unlimited unless you ship the items (gay paypal rule)

DeathToEbay 02-27-2008 09:57 AM

I have not shipped the items, they limit before I can deposit money.

I was selling 4 of them.

They only wanted proof of one nintendo wii, and some old gamecube game I was selling. The game is over 7-8 years old, I don't have receipt for that!

sdot10 02-27-2008 10:19 AM

then just call and tell them that. I cant see how they possibly could hold that against you. Tell them you can send a picture of the item with your name and paypal id and date. Also have them make notes on your account for everything they tell you.

ivegotinfo 02-27-2008 11:08 AM

call them up and ask what to do. say you dont have a supplier and all that. they will tell you waht to do..

DeathToEbay 02-27-2008 12:03 PM

Just email resolution@ paypal.com is all the 16 year old rep told me.

I think I will nuke this ebay, and paypal account and start over again. It don't look good for me.

All my customers are all confused and some of them won't use the non-mutual agreement to refund the FVF frees, because they still want there item. Getting negative feedback also.

twdell 02-27-2008 02:08 PM

i called them and told them i didn't have receipts for anything i was selling. i got reinstated after about a week and a half.

sdot10 02-28-2008 09:31 AM

^^^^^^^^

Yeah I dont think hes getting reinstated. Wii's are too high risk. Personally I still think his story is a little fishy.

I bought the hardest to find game system and miraculously found 4 of them at one time. If you look at ebay the wii's arent going for the $700 they were at launch. They are around maybe 300 at the most that someone will pay for it. Considering they retail at 250+tax, and ebay fees, paypal fees and shipping. I cant possibly see how he was making any money anyway.

I think he either bought 1 and tried to pass it off as four or has none and thats where the real problems are.

mantisinc 02-28-2008 12:26 PM

I doubt he will disclose that kind of info, that's just asking to get your account closed down :)
