Question about creating new account
 

I am in the process of opening up a new paypal account. I have gone to the bank and have a new checking account. I am just wondering what is the purpose of the prepaid credit card and when exactly am I entering this information? I have stopped at the page in paypal in which I am being asked do I want to use my checking account or credit card. Which am I choosing? Also, if I do need a prepaid card, in what amount should it be purchased for? Also which are the best ones? Please help. This all seems so confusing.
