Anyone used enumbered.com anonymous bank account

Just saw the site https://enumbered.com/ offering annon. bank accounts, do not know if its genuine or not. Has anyone come across this or using their service?

jeffweico 04-21-2011 11:07 PM

That just doesn't seem right to me. I mean, I **LOVE** the comcept, but their site claims they are 100% anonymous and NOT DOMICILED in any country, they are strictly an internet entity.

To my way of thinking, if that is SOMEHOW true, then they answer to nobody. That is never a good thing.

In the past, the Swiss banks were famous for their numbered, private accounts. But they still had to answer to the Swiss government. So there was at least SOME oversight.

The domain name has been registered since 2008, but a Google search shows very little about them. Mostly people asking if anyone has had experience with them. Not a good sign.

Unless they can prove themselves, I would avoid them. Maybe time will prove me wrong, but something is simply not right here.

BigCJ 04-21-2011 11:09 PM

I wouldnt trust it honestly....it just seems too....⊗⊗⊗⊗? the skype thing is whats throwing me off for the most part. most legit businesses use a third party company to offer live chat support. Another thing throwing me off is the whole 'backed by gold' speal... a legit company would be wider known even if it was that secure and private...

I dunno, open an account and make small deposits to see I guess? I honestly never heard of it till you posted it

jeffweico 04-21-2011 11:27 PM

Also, on their front page, one of the features is that you can withdraw funds at ANY ATM IN THE WORLD. Sounds great, but when you read their FAQ, it states:

We are still working to launch the debit card program, which should be ready soon. Because we are offering fully anonymous bank accounts, many debit card providers are not willing to work with us, because of banking regulations which require them to identify each cardholder. However, we are in negotiations with some solid offshore providers, and should reach an agreement soon which will allow us to issue debit cards to eNumbered account holders.

There are simply too many red flags here to take this seriously. Like I said, maybe time will prove me wrong, but I certainly wouldn't put MY money in there at this point.

Red X 04-21-2011 11:54 PM

I've never even heard of anonymous bank accounts. This is very interesting to me, especially since I'm just now hearing about this. This will give me something to do tonight. Time for Research :bolt:

BTW I still wouldn't sign up to them, but it is interesting.....

rsot 04-22-2011 02:29 PM

jeffweico has highlighted important parts to keep in mind. Besides the fact of debit card program, their "existence" since 2008 with no growth and "backed by gold" nonsense is a huge flag to me. I have to say my gut feeling is that any money sent better not be absolutely of value to the sender...

BiN4RY 04-22-2011 03:56 PM

Interesting website, I'm going to sign up for it and see what they do.

EDIT:

Doesn't seem to be too useful, and their website lacks of instructions

stickmade 04-22-2011 07:30 PM

Would be great if someone tested this it sounds interesting

Tansey2 04-22-2011 08:22 PM

Even if the account itself is 'anonymous' there will always be a trail back to you when you withdraw (ATM cameras, address that the debit card gets mailed to, etc.) or transfer your money.

shaddelick 04-22-2011 11:03 PM

I think it bull****. I signed up, and they dont give you a real bank account number or routing number. They give some random generated number. I thought i can use there account to link to paypal, but nothing like that. You can add money to that account with western union and stuff. I went ahead and set up a deposit , but didnt follow through and every day 2 times a day i got reminder emails to make the transfer. They are quick to ask for money to be deposited more than anything. I say if they cant link to paypal, GTFO. Just a bunch of scumbag scammers if you ask me.

Imback2010 04-22-2011 11:33 PM

Hi R****n,

Unfortunately, you can't use eNumbered to verify your paypal account - they don't accept us as verification procedure. cheers, Yitzhak

Confirmed useless....

I signed up and sent a question and the reply is above so there you go

Red X 04-23-2011 08:48 AM

I might take the risk, and give this a try, just for the gold. If the gold really comes I will be happy, because the price of Gold will be going up soon, AGAIN. There are vending machines that gives you money for gold, as well.

mattytman 04-26-2011 03:59 PM

Anyone tried it yet? Lol.

There are ZERO bad stories about people transferring money and it going walkies....

:noidea:

Imakemoney 04-26-2011 04:39 PM

personally I wouldnt do it.

smithgroup 04-27-2011 04:16 PM

Looks like they are gone!

Hope you all didn't send much cash:

Red X 04-27-2011 04:44 PM

wow, I'm glad I didn't sign up, the gold kind of tempted me. Jeff was right, there really was to many red flags.

Red X 04-27-2011 05:54 PM

It is back up, and running now lol, so IDK................

steer clear guys :peace:

mattytman 04-28-2011 09:33 AM

Below is the only thread I've managed to find that has the 'enumbered' guy actually debating with people as to the legitimacy of his site. It's interesting reading:

Anonymous Bank Accounts / NEW Payout Solution - Go****Yourself.com - Adult Webmaster Resource Message Board

rsot 04-28-2011 11:05 AM

Ha mattyt what are you doing on that site - so innocent =P

Just messing but seriously - briefly perused it (geez not good for work for sure but hey whatever) - seems like the owner was debating a bit. Might be worth to try and talk to him directly.

Regardless, I still don't like that setup and lack of bonafide success stories.

BiN4RY 04-28-2011 11:15 AM

These bums won't stop spamming me now, keep reminding me about "not completing my deposit"

Red X 04-28-2011 11:31 AM

# Where is the financial institution that is backing this located?
Canada

# Where is this gold located exactly?
Secure vaults in Canada

# Who, in the end, is responsible for all this?[/quote]
eNumbered Holdings INC, a BC Corporation

# Are there any insurances except for "100% backed in gold"?
A very legitimate question which we often receive so I want to take the time to really address your question here. First off, 'guarantees' in the world of banking come with a high price; government intruding into your financial privacy. The only truly 'guaranteed' bank accounts in the world are FDIC insured banks in the USA. If you don't mind the IRS or FinCEN snooping around your financial history, then you should just open an account at a big US bank. Right?

Red X 04-28-2011 11:32 AM

In the world of online banking, there are no iron-clad guarantees. For example, paypal accounts are known to 'freeze up' all the time, and even big e-currency providers like Epassporte can go out of business. Offshore banks are no safer - they can simply disappear, or the government can nationalize the bank and seize all deposits (this has happened more than a few times). What guarantee do you have that Paxum, Payoneer or any other online payment processor won't go out of business? No guarantee at all, but most of you use some sort of online currency solution.

At eNumbered, we have made every possible effort to safeguard your funds and your privacy. Deposits are 100% backed by gold bullion stored in vaults, so even if our correspondent bank somehow shuts down, you will not lose any funds. Since we are based in Canada, it's rather unlikely that the Canadian government will go out of business. If inflation spikes and currencies are deflated, you enjoy protection from the stability of gold. So unlike most banks or e-currencies, your funds are completely secure with eNumbered.

That being said, the only thing guaranteed in life is 'death and taxes'. Wherever you choose to put your money, you're taking some kind of risk - either of the bank or country going out of business, or the government snooping into your private life - or both. We're not going to spend your deposits making $20million movie flops like Chris Mallick did. We believe - both ideologically and financially - in the Gold Standard as applied to banking. Our mission is to protect the financial assets and personal privacy of our clients, and for this service we charge withdrawal fees and make a profit. That's eNumbered.com .. simple but effective.

rsot 04-28-2011 11:39 AM

Well they are using a bit of circular logic - basically everything's a gamble so you might as well gamble with us IN ANONYMITY. Appeals to the desperate - like any good scheme ought to.

Lol. I typed in enumbered scam on google and this thread was on about page 5. Not my usual reading material

I emailed 'customer service' and aksed them if they could convince me that they were genuine with references etc (as I had over £15k in PP ready to transfer as a carrot dangler). He replied with:

Unfortunately we cannot take Paypal funds at this time. However, this may change in the future. Cheers, Yitzhak

I responded saying 'why not? It is still an option as a deposit on your site'. He replied with:

We occasionally disallow paypal for security reasons (too much fraud). Please check the 'Deposit Funds' page in the future, as the paypal deposit method may become available again. Thank you for your understanding. Cheers, Yitzhak Rosenthal

I responded asking him if this was the case then why I am receiving this message twice a day:

Dear Client,

You still have a pending deposit on your eNumbered account *****. Deposit instructions are included below:

PayPal E-Mail: paypal@enumbered.com

Once you have sent the deposit, please login to your eNumbered account and confirm the deposit through the Confirm Deposits menu. As soon as we receive confirmation the funds have been sent, we will update your account balance accordingly.

Thank you,
Client Services
support@eNumbered.com

He hasn't responded to that! lol.

What a concept....

"Focused On Becoming A Master Stealth Bomber"

smithgroup 04-30-2011 02:51 AM

Bottom line is just open a real bank account.

I use Ally, HSBC and Chase.

No problems with stealth accounts, FDIC insured (good for US users), can open sub accounts in seconds online, No BS "backed by gold" in Canada statements, no Blackberry emails. You can even nickname accounts to correspond with the ID of your stealth name on eBay.

Well thanks a lot!!!

You've just ensured that Grannytrannybank.co.uk (where all deposits are backed by chicken poo) has failed before its even got off the ground!!!!

Oh well, back to ste alth . :rip:
