removing bank for paypal and adding it to another paypal
 

i just removed my bank account(which is greendot) from my paypal account. i was afraid it may get limited soon and wanted to be able to use it again for a different stealth paypal. anybody know if i can reuse the bank with a different stealth paypal without being linked?

You cannot do it - Pa yp al will block you.

Its not like its the routing/bank number - whats the big deal? open another savings account.

so it will link me even if i removed it from my other paypal account?

Once you submit information with eB ay and Pa yP al, they store it forever. Just because you remove it means absolutely nothing. So, as everyone else already said, DON'T DO IT.

Sure it 'looks' removed at your side of the computer but that info is still there within paypal.

you should contact greendot and ask for a new account .give them some reason like your ex girlfriend got your info and want to change it . theey might just give you new routing number and account number . but you should never remove banks now matter what .

Is it possible to withdraw funds from a limited paypal ready to withdraw after 180 days to a greendot account? Does the names have to match?

I've just tried to do this after the account was removed from an old PayPal months ago, it seems they no longer allow you to add the bank account to another PayPal any more.

No, you cannot add the same bank account to a different PayPal.

If a bank account has been used with a limited/closed PayPal, do not attempt to use it ever again.

If the PayPal account is not limited within a month or so of stopping selling on eBay then almost 100% guaranteed the account is not going to be limited, so what reason would there be not to re-use that bank account on another PayPal?

But... It seems they are now actually blocking people from doing this..

From my notes on changing bank accounts, it has been the case specific to UK and Australia, a bank account can not be re- used.

man man man this forum is so dang confusing :doh:...if it's a greendot I thought paypal didn't care if you use the account again..then you have people on this forum saying greendot doesnt work with paypal which one is it then???? does greendot work or not?

I actually successfully removed my bank account from one PayPal and linked it to a new one. Back in March, I sold a Nexus S to some guy from Brazil and the guy claimed he never received it and threaten to file a dispute. So instead of waiting for a chargeback to happen and it did a day later, I canceled the credit card on my PayPal and removed my checking account. I created a new Paypal under my dad's name, and attached my bank account , exact same routing and account #, to the new account, except I chooses Savings instead of checking on the drop down menu and my had a checking account. Everything is working fine as far as I can tell, withdrew over $3000 on that new account so far and no problem. Again, this was back in March so I don't know what the new policy is.
