Visa Gift Card - Verify Paypal?
 

Hey there. I am about to head out to the store later. Do you think that I can purchase a Visa Gift Card and enter the pin into my Paypal account to verify it? It is on a US paypal.

i never had any problem with visa giftcards and paypal u should be fine just make sure u reg it online before adding to pp

If you want to verify your PayPal, a gift card will not verify a US PayPal. To verify a US PayPal, you need a VBA, or virtual bank account.

Yes you can. Go do what doughboy says and just make sure you register it online prior. its that simple.

What information does it ask you for when you register online...

"The problem may be that PayPal was unable to verify your address with the card issuer."

How do verify the information when I register online so it will work with paypal?

I verified mine with the stealth information I was giving to paypal. It was a simple simon gift card and I just spent it at the local grocer that month.

Gift2go, Vanilla Visa have not been working even if they are registered. Says they cannot check the address with the card issuer. Anyone else having this issue now?

Vanilla Visa has been working on and off for the last couple of years. Some cards will work while others won't - it says "bank declined the card", right?

The easiest solution to verify would probably be a VBA or attaching a bank to your account if you're in the United States.

I bought one 2 days ago and the Vanilla Visa card is not working. It did work 2 weeks ago. I'll try some more tricks.

try it on another paypal this usely works. some reason they work on some pp's but not others

How about Canada? Will a Visa gift card work for Canadian paypal for verification?
