Does PayPal still need my SSN if I provide a TIN?

I am a frequesnt reader of the posts here and have benefited from those and here is my story.

I set up stealth ebay and PP accounts in Nov 2010 and sold low value VERO items. I have been climbing the selling limit ladder since then, 10 item/500, 20/500, 40/1000, etc until today I called eBay and now I am at 150/$5000 per month.

As sales increase, the possibility of being limited is increasing; of course my PP account will be gone once it is limited because I have nothing to document.

My question: if I give PayPal a TIN now, will it decrease my chance of being limited? If limited, will a TIN work? Will I have to provide my SSN or PP has a way to track my SSN from a TIN? My SSN is permanently locked by PP.

Thanks.

For the Document parts, you can always be creative and create stealth documents for the stealth accounts. For the SSN and TIN I do not know how those would work for stealth accounts.
