Paypal 21 day hold
 

Im just trying to figure out what triggers the 21 day hold for new ebay users.

My stealth account is probably 2 weeks old...I started selling right away.

I had to verify my identity over the phone which was a success.

I had my selling limits lifted on the ebay site. (10-1000 to 100-5000)

I just began getting payments in today and not one of them had the hold.

I had anything from electronics to clothing up for sale.

Do you think its because I initially verified my ebay account?

Also, my paypal account is not verified yet. I thought I had most of this crap

figured out...this ones got me stuck! (But nonethesless im very happy I do not have the hold, but Im trying to figure this out for future reference!)

wow, not sure. I would keep a few bucks in there for online shipping though incase the do put holds on. That way you can ship without filling things out by hand and taking them to the PO. That part sucked for me until the hold dropped. I wanted to pay with paypal and use their easy online shipping. Otherwise I had to scrape up cash in my pocket. back then I was broke and my ebay payments was all I had.

well for me, shipping cost were released if you do flat rate shipping, but whenever it was free it was a pain.

Really has this changed? They now release shipping fees?

Yeah, that would have been nice back when I was super BROKE and trying to start my new seller account. I was borrowing money just to pay shipping so i could get things to the buyers very fast to get the money released.

I am surprised they are even doing that. one thing out of a million that is good. lol..
