paypal - gift payment problem recently I have been sending a lot of "gifts" to people. I just received the following:
To ensure secure payments and protect your interest, we, at PayPal,
monitor every transaction very closely.
We’ve noticed that on Apr. 23, 2011, you’ve made a personal payment
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX of $ 450.00. We don’t know whether you have
realized that personal payments are not intended for commercial
transactions and they are not eligible for Buyer or Seller Protection.
Please kindly reply to this email in a timely fashion and let us know if
the transaction XXXXXXXXXXX corresponds to an online purchase. If
so, please also specify what item or service you’ve been buying and if
they’ve met your requirements.

apologize for any inconvenience.
i dont see a problem with replying and saying "yes, I was buying an item, and I am satisfied with it." or should I ignore it? |
