Delivery Confirmed but Paypal still holding funds

Sold a few VeRO items on my stealth pp account with the 21 day hold in place as the stealth ebay is new enough.

Anyway I posted them all registered with tracking info and they all arrived about 5/6 days ago.

When the buyers paid i left them feedback straight away.

However none of them have left any back for me yet and its been 5/6 days since they received their items.

Anyway pp are still holding my funds even do the tracking info uploaded to pp shows they have all been delivered successfully 5/6 days ago.

I would think a call to pp would sort this out and get my funds released however the items I sold are Vero and could land me in a bit of trouble if they reviewed my account in the process.

I already messaged all the buyers but no response.

Any ideas what I should do?

I would wait 2 more days then call them up. Ve ro or not, if you need the funds - well you have to take some risks.

Superdude 06-10-2011 03:45 PM

Yeah id rather wait do then risk my account being shut down rsot.

Its just strange do why they have not released the funds as its obviously 3 days after confirmed delivery.

Have you ever had this problem before?

They held my funds the three weeks even with a pos fb and tracking in the beginning. You'll have to be patient.

This is what happened:

paypal would spin the story of get payment, despatch goods, supply tracking have your funds. Good to go. Then paypal decided well, we will just let that seller wait.

So it is no longer a given that funds on hold are on an automatic release. Fraid to say that's sellers' hopes only these days. Other things can be done to reduce the holds :juggle:

ShadyOne 06-10-2011 06:21 PM

Dispatching your item early and maintaining communication with the buyer can reduce a payment hold.

After the 3 day has passed, if you still have not had funds released, it can be a good idea to just quickly send PayPal an email, then just wait. You could also phone them for quicker results.

Peace, superDUDE

what i like to do is include a small piece of paper just asking the customer to leave feedback once item is receive so that eb ay/pay pal will release payment to me. I think once they see that you haven't got paid they feel bad and right away leave feedback. Will you get feedback 100% NO but it helps.....and I never leave feedback until they leave first. just me.

Shady-La, dont forget the OP said he was selling foo-foos. Might be better for patience as you said as opposed to contact too soon. :pop2:

ShadyOne 06-10-2011 07:05 PM

Alright GB mate!

Yeah true, skipped over that one there didn't I.

@superDUDE , Well what I said can still be applied but it would be all about that 'risk' factor with the item sold. Majority of the time your best bet is to wait until funds are automatically released. The 'play it safe' stealth way. Under that radar!

Giardino 06-10-2011 08:08 PM

If you're selling foo-foo's, give it 3-4 days and then give em a call.

If you're selling moo-moos © (opposite of foo-foo's) I'd call them as soon as you could confirm delivery. That's what I do if I'm selling moo-moo's and it hasn't failed me thus far.

Yeah, best to keep the OP heading down this route, the safe lane.

I may be being dense here but I always thought Vero meant genuine branded stuff and not copies from China? So essentially vero means f-a-k-e?

I've seen it being used in different contexts all the time and now I'm confused.

No VeRO does not mean f-ake, however since branded items on ebay are f-ake 99.99% of the time, we sometimes just presume when speaking about VeRO that we are talking about knock-offs from China.

Its safe to say there are a lot of genuine brands being sold on eb, however most of time for every REAL you will have about 20 F-AKES of the same kind.

ShadyOne 06-11-2011 11:02 AM

@ensignia, The word Vero is taken out of context many times. Vero is not even an item anyway, it is the owner behind the item. So neither is correct.

To cal/email or not to call/email ?

Holds

I have sent several items which have been confirmed on the Royal Mail site as delivered (signed for).

Today is the fourth day since delivery. Previously with other accounts monies have been automatically released after three days.

Is the general consensus to simply wait for the funds to be released, rather than requesting their release? (which could lead to them having a good poke around at the account)

Thanks.

besttimedeals 06-12-2011 12:21 PM

If you try to contact them by email, you will get the same boiler plate email reply about how they hold for 21 days.
They were holding mine even after delivery confirmation, positive feedback and 21 days passed.
Calling them would probably be the only way to get them to release, but if you are stealth and VERO why risk it. they will eventually have to release. In my case, it was about 2-3 days after the 21 day hold.

Spoon 06-12-2011 12:31 PM

Good enough for me.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

ensignia 06-12-2011 12:33 PM

I have the stupid payment holds at the moment, and I sent out the item on the same day and the chap left feedback the next day, and voila! My funds were removed from pending to available.

ShadyOne 06-12-2011 12:35 PM

I would say that you can contact them when you have a solid PayPal with good history and have provided docs to confirm identity. By this stage, you would want to or have contacted PayPal for certain things.

If it is a new account, wait it out.

Spoon 06-12-2011 12:36 PM

My thoughts exactly. It is a 6 month old account which I have operated slowly.

I would rather wait the 21 days than risk being seen above the radar!
