What happens if your eCheck doesn't clear on PayPal? Will account be in limbo?

I purchased an item from a seller via Money Request directly on PayPal. I used the eCheck option. What happens if your eCheck doesn't clear with PayPal? Will my account be in limbo or will there be any problems ahead? The stealth account is solid and all limits lifted. I didn't put the funds into that checking account because I changed my mind on wanting the item so do I just let the eCheck not clear and I'll get an e-mail notice letting me know the eCheck didn't clear or will there be problems with my bank account linked to PayPal if I don't get on this right away and move forward and pay for the item? I think I didn't think on it and purchased the item right away but now I want to back out and not purchase it. What do you all think???

Bad business practise :nono:

If you wanted to back out of a sale you should have contacted the seller.

At the very least you have now flagged your account as not quite 100% reliable.

Is it a stealth account? Do the names match? If the names do not match up it is likely to get a manual review - I wouldn't like to guess at the consequences for your account

Thanks for the fast reply GrannyT! What do you mean do the names match up? Address matches the name sure. I revised my post please read it all mate.

Okay, I will in most cases proceed to complete the transaction. I don't want my golden account to fall apart when I've worked so hard getting to this point with it. If you think it will be for the better then I'm FOR THE WIN!

Hmm, OK, worst scenario E check doesn't clear - PP look at the details from the bank and they match the details on your stealth account - Am I OK so far? - Item not from Ebay - that's in your favour - you might get away with it as the account is solid with all limits lifted.

Cannot be good business though if you are operating under stealth - I never raise my head above the parapet unless it is absolutely essential

Good luck with it OP - someone else might like to put their two pennyworth in here - I've got clinging grandkids distracting me right now.

Another question, what if I just contact the seller and request them to cancel my eCheck? Isn't there an option in the PayPal console for the seller on the other end to simply cancel the eCheck so it's stopped or not processed? I assume there's an option for it but wanted to get clearification? The seller is very nice and open minded so I'm sure it won't be a problem for them since they can list it on eBay and move forward.

Just pay for it and if you don't want it then sell it. You are wasting sellers time and effort. Plus I'm sure there are:juggle: fees, so a cancellation comes into play. Personally It would piss me off as a seller since a echeck is already annoying to begin with.

Also you may incur overdraft fees or insufficient fees. They might also attempt to withdraw multiple times incurring those fees multiple times. Also you are risking your account as previously stated. Is it worth all that?:juggle:
