Paypal will not let me pay on Godaddy without credit card number.
 

Hello,

My dad sent me some money throught paypal, 112$ to be precise, so that I could start my own blog etc, but upon paying for the domain, it would not let me use the money already in my account, and wanted me to pay with the credit card, what's the point of having paypal then?

Paypal is very proprietary... not all merchants take PP payments... most don't.

So withdraw your money from PP to your bank and use your credit card to pay Godaddy

PP account with no CC or Bank Account on file has a sending limit of goose egg. The reason is obvious. Add a CC and you'll be able to send up to $2k from your balance.

that depends on how the merchant (godaddy) has it set up. If you are buying an item with a recurring fee, PP want a way to make sure you pay next month/year.

get you a vcc and add it to paypal to remove the sending limts. Also paypal is very sneaky when it comes to paying for stuff they like to pull the money from your bank or cc rather then use funds in your account. They do this so if they limit u the money becomes theres.

There must be an error occurring with you.

Are you sure that you selected "Paypal" as the default payment option in your godaddy account before paying for the domain name?
