Can you pay thru CCnow with an unverified paypal account?

I have some money trapped in an account that isn't verified with a bank account so I'm thinking of opening a ccnow account, sending myself an invoice and paying using my unverified paypal account. Is this possible?

thelizardking 03-13-2008 12:57 AM

Ive only done this with a Verified account, but I was concerned about the reversal becuse you can't get your Ccnow funds right away..but its been about 5 days so I think its safe..

but with an unverified I sent it to an old PP w/ debit card..got it out..but nothing happend..would you be able to do this?

Ballsack 03-13-2008 01:50 PM

I'm surprised no one has an answer for this question.

why not try it

Ballsack 03-13-2008 02:26 PM

You mean spend $10 to sign up, try it and then have it backfire and potentially get my paypal account limited as opposed to seeing if someone else already made the attempt on here?

love2hate-ebay- 03-13-2008 02:31 PM

I did it before i had my paypal account verified and so far so good.

Ballsack 03-13-2008 02:45 PM

Great! How much of your balance did you "transfer" over? I have like $180 in mine and just want to do the whole thing in one shot.

love2hate-ebay- 03-13-2008 02:47 PM

I didn't have that much i only had like 123.00 in mine and i did all but 3.00 of it and that was only because i had a couple of things that i needed to pay that took the remaining 3 :)

OMB 03-13-2008 07:29 PM

If I were u I would just do it. Since your unverified, your more likely to have your account limited having money just sit in there. If I were you, I would go for it. There is a good chance you'll be limited and funds reversed after sending the money to your CCNow but I say your safer getting away with that than trying to withdraw your money. Your taking a big risk being unverified...so why not take another risk and transfer it to CCnow. But I don't want u to blame me if you do get limited.

Ballsack 03-13-2008 07:59 PM

Can paypal reverse a ccnow payment? Isn't that like reversing a money send to another paypal user? The more I think about this the more I'm starting to think about just getting a bank card applying it on the paypal account and then using the plugin to tranfer money to google. I only recently learned that ccnow charges $10 a month to use their service if you go under $100 and I was really only planning on using them once and letting the account sit there in case of emergencies. Not only do they get me for nearly $20 this one time but I have to wait like 45-60 days before I get that measly amount of money out of them.

OMB 03-13-2008 11:26 PM

Yes that's true but hey...it gives u a reason to open a CCNow account and keep it for the future. Plus it's like yea you'll wait but you'll be awaiting money. There's no better feeling than that. I opened my CCNow account few months ago and processed about 2 payments of $80 each just to start it up and sit on it in case of emergencies.

By the way, you'll be meeting the minimum for this month once you process that $180 and you'll only be charged the transaction fees for that and it'll be about $10 if im correct. You're not losing that much. And if you're going to do it through CCNow, do it today because this withdrawal cycle is ending like like a day. If u wait until after the 15th, it's going to take 60 days instead of 45 to get your money.

You could use the plugin but the only problem is since you're unverified, adding the plugin may limit your account. I say either do it the CCNow method or go to Walgreens.com and purchase a couple gift cards and exchange them in the store for Visa gift cards.

thelizardking 03-14-2008 12:34 AM

Yeah I procrastinated on the Ccnow till late Feb, I can't wait to get my first payout in one lump sum soon...its gonna be nice...

But I had wished I signed up in ealry Jan when I was going to...but Paypal was going good but the limitations just came with the territory...so do it now like OMB said and get a payment so you make the deadline...

Yeah I've pretty much accepted the fact that using the plugin after I've verified my account will limit it. That's why paypal is offering it to customers. They want to freeze your money the minute you use it. lol.

Anyway the issue with ccnow that I'm having now it the constant maintenance which I was not aware of when I began this thread. I just wanted to open account, get my money from paypal and just let it sit. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to use them on a constant basis. The fees are not as much a concern as the 2 week waiting period.

k1ley4evr 03-25-2008 08:00 PM

i just tried to do it with a verified paypal and i guess ccnow knew it was me trying to do it. Anyone have any idea how I should get the money out? It's been 2 weeks since I've had this paypal, I've sent and received way over 2,000. Should I try to withdraw it to my bank?

Once the payment is complete to ccnow the payment can't be reversed by paypal.
