UK Tracking Number Question
 

This may sound dumb, but you should try to stay away from anything that could link you to your old, suspended account, right?

I always ship every item out with a tracking number. After years of doing this, the Post Office decided it would be easier to give me my own roll of Recorded Delivery stickers to add the tracking to the packages myself.

I used a few stickers from the roll for items I sold on, what are now, suspended accounts. I uploaded every single one I shipped to my old EB and PP, just like you're supposed to do.

I still have hundreds of stickers left, each with their own tracking number. But the first few numbers/letters on the tracking numbers are the same, so they match the tracking numbers for items I've previsouly sold with the limited accounts.

I'm still using Recorded Delivery stickers from this roll for shipping my Stealth items but I'm not currently updating the tracking info to eBay or PayPal, as I don't want them to see the link in the same first few numbers/letters.

Should I stay away from updating the tracking numbers? Or do you think it's ok? Are they likely to link it?

it is a possibility that it could link you as you upload the tracking info to pp

but,the first few numbers may be the same on thousands of tracking numbers

go check at your post office and ask them if they are all like that

tbh i think you should be okay,but it pays to be paranoid

i bet royal mail codes are all the same for the first 4 or 5 numbers/letters anyway

check it out and report back :)

Can't see that being a problem - best to just ditch those ones and get a new roll from the Post Office. Problem solved

get a new roll if it bothers you, but you guys give ebay/paypal way to much forensic credit......its IP/cookes/flash and even then they miss some.....

What flash? Don't forget Name, address, birthdate, and phone number.
