xmshun | 07-30-2011 09:05 AM | Stealth Account Address So basically, I have had my real Paypal account suspended which has my real address.
However, to start selling on my stealth account that has a stealth address, I need to buy things using a different Paypal. I cannot open a real account, as it would be linked to my old one, and I would be suspended again.
So my question is, can I open a stealth account but with my real address?
Otherwise how else can I make genuine purchases to my real address using Paypal? |

| Solution: Read around the forums (search facility or dacility as GB calls it) OR get the stealth guide for simplicity.
Sorry - any direct replies to this is SPOONFEEDING ha my other folx.
You're not a baby, are you? =) |
xmshun | 07-30-2011 09:14 AM | I have the stealth guide. I am just looking for clarification from the more experienced, not sarcasm. |
Just my Saturday morning antics ha.
But then again, does not seem like you understand stealth.
1. If you use your real address, how does the account remain stealth? Even if name is different, you don`t think eb/pp have suspended 2 different folx working out of the same address? Ha way too easy. Quote:

| You have lots of options. Some folx e-mail the seller directly and explain. Others just make a NEW UNLINKED buyer ONLY account and get stuff. Yes, that account is dangerous if turned to seller but for buying only, it can work.
Edit: And yes, I understand what you are looking for but if I am going to serve up sarcasm or a plate of reality or whatever, I will do it on the open forums where everyone can read - might as well step into the subscribed section where there is a plethora of info if you have the guide... |

I pick who is sarcastic, not you. rsot is correct with the response.
You've been advised the correct method. SEARCH. Give it a try.
Should you have the book, why is your subcription not activated? |

Or are you buying it to try and make the account look like you are a buyer that then decided to give selling a try? |

The funny thing is, I tried to purchase being a guest the other day and they held the payment until more information received. Apparently I reached the limit of guest payments allowed. |
GreenBean | 07-30-2011 09:58 AM | Yes, because far too many users are doing this. paypal AND ebay have both changed how they 'treat' guest accounts. Now such accounts are being held & checked. I had 5 of mine held. In my case, they were all frist time guest buys.
It is not going to be so successful to do. On that basis alone, I would not recommend trying the method. :peace: |
Or, alter your address a bit - mail and packages will still come - it's not hard to be creative.

xmshun | 07-30-2011 10:33 AM | Lol thanks for the witty example.
 |
Road-Kill | 07-30-2011 01:26 PM | I'm not sure about the postal rules where you live, but it's probably the same a lot of places. You can rent a mail receiving box in your name and tell the store your friends will be using the box too. Some places don't ask for friends ID,some do.
You can also rent a box in another zip code if it's not too far and get packages there in your name. The nice thing about that is you could turn the buyer account into a seller account with your real name. As long the zip is different and you do all the stealth stuff right, the account should work fine.
You could also update some bank accounts with the new address. The address will then pass a public records match, they usually just match addresses and don't cross reference them with prior addresses. I pass the ID checks all the time with places I lived years ago. |
Jack Alope | 07-30-2011 02:35 PM | I have 2 stealth address questions:
In the US the UPS store is asking for 2 forms of id (not a "stealth-like" start to this process...imo).
1. If I have to provide correct docs to get a new address, do i just go with a simple name and address variation on ebay and paypal?
2. Will this cause any problems with shipping and returns?
Thank you for any input you can share on this matter!! |

Thank you for any input you can share on this matter!! | Check this, slap a business name on your mail you receive and the UPS store is all jelly ;).
They don't ask for documentation of any kind with this method. |
Road-Kill | 07-31-2011 12:20 AM | Yeah like unknown says. I just use the E-Bay/Amazon store name as the business name. When you sign up just tell them you have a bunch of store names you use.
Most of the UPS stores that I've been to are independent so some of them are more anal than others. They have personal and business accounts, so if I pay the extra cost for the biz account I expect them to receive all my items without any hassle. |
NYCLiz | 07-31-2011 01:01 PM | I have used an independable mail service and they were picky about ID. The US has strict rules about that, but as with anything, enforcement varies depending upon the company.
I found one of them somewhere online that accepts your verified PayPal account as ID. (Obviously the owner/manager is not on this forum.) |
Road-Kill | 07-31-2011 01:44 PM | LOL, it sounds like you know the score.
I give the UPS my ID, they don't require verification for the business name part. It's like with the bank accounts and deposits, as long as they verify one name the rest usually doesn't matter. |
Jack Alope | 07-31-2011 10:47 PM | i have a couple more address question....
1. is it one new address per one new stealth account?
2. if multiple stealth accounts point to 1 common address, will they ever be linked from the common address?
Thank you for any input you can share on this matter... |

Thank you for any input you can share on this matter... | If you're using the address for returns, you could put the address on invoices and use it more than once.If you send the address to customers with the built in messages, it could link you.
If you are using it to register and receive items, just one time for E-Bay/Amazon. To just register you don't need to rent a box. |
Ok, working with this UPS theme, has anyone ever rented a box with UPS or independent mailbox stores and tried the following:
Let's say your box is 444. Can you receive mail written as 1A-444, 1B-444, etc? |
Road-Kill | 08-01-2011 10:45 AM | I always explain to the store that I sell online and just leave out the stealth part. Online sellers are big part of business for a lot of places.
When customers return packages you really have no control how they address a package. So if the store refused a package for reasons like in your example, it would end up being a bigger hassle for them, than accepting the item would be.
When in doubt, just send a empty box to yourself to see what happens. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:09 PM. | |
