Can Paypal trace stealth accounts?
Basically, a scammer pulled a fast one on me for quite a large amount of cash on one of my stealth accounts. It was about £950.
Luckily I managed to withdraw about £800 out, so the account has a (negative) - £800 balance.
The seller claimed an INR because i had shipped on the 8th day rather than within 7 days, thus my seller protection was invalid. Crazy thing was though the 7th day was a bank holiday which they have ignored. And tracking shows signature as proof of receipt.
I cancelled the direct debit (I am going to close the account) and I have destroyed the VCC in use.
All details were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ with verified ID, although once or twice I accidentally logged in with my REAL ip.
Will I be traced and forced to pay off that? After all I was scammed myself. |
