PayPal reverse payments?
 

hi so i have recieved money into my paypal account. my paypal account is fully verified but my bank account is been closed for not using it for a while and forgetting about direct debits etc so they are closing it (co-op). I dont have another bank account so i have sent the payment to my friends account so he can withdraw it. can paypal reverse this payment? is it likely or not because i have done this?

Doesnt really matter if you do it every once in a while, and it looks like you are only doing this once to clear the funds out of paypal. If you do the personal option, you could have avoided fees.

Since you already have done it, no I doubt that they will reverse it unless you have issues with your account.

But, if you are going to keep you paypal acct open and it is in good standing, why not open a new bank account and attach to paypal?

i am waiting on a the bank getting back to me to open account. i only done this as when i sell on paypal i like to transfer to my account. or in this instanct my friends. i am verified i have sent the payment and my friend has recieved it and awaiting transfer into the acoount. i have left feeback to buyer and stated i will post the item the payment is for 500gbp. i just cant get a bank account in time,

payment has been recieved on friends account and i have told him to withdraw. reason being i dont trust paypal at all.

i have done nothing wrong, contacted the buyer and left feedback for him. once my friend has recieved it and is withdrawing as we speak what is the chances in paypal butting in? this would be my wourst nightmare. words of wisdom please :)

i am not doing anything wrong and still have money in my account.

So everything should be fine and dandy? i am currently in process of doing this (opening a account). Say also i open a stealth account. DO you need a BANK ACCOUNT for verification could do with a easier option eg a online banking which i can change account numbers or something

They can reverse it if the account is still active - or try to withdraw the money if the account is still active.

so they can take the payment back off my friend? i send this payment this morning. my friend has already started the withdrawl into his back account. so hopefully it should all be fine?

Just remember PP can do anything they want, you agreed to their TOS and if you've never read it, it means they can do what they want including suspending both accounts.

Now will they suspend you? That's another question, it depends on a whole lot. Are you pushing VERO or highly watched items? If yes, you'll likely get yours and a buddie's account suspended. If not you should be good. Also the amounts play a huge factor. To limit your chances of suspension make sure the item is delivered and you have a good feedback.
