Remove bank account from Paypal, Is it really off ? Aspkin Help!
 

I confirmed my paypal account. My account isnt suspended or limited. So I removed my bank account, know i want to know can i add that bank account to a different paypal account. Will that limit me. Because am guessing that once some one close their bank account at their branch. some one else can get the same account number later on.

oh yea I keep a clean tracking record on my accounts like, different ip, clean cookie, cache, emails, password, etc, diff names and address confirmed, no rookie moves. never logged in a account with the same ip, and even if the ip is changed i always clean my history.

Please share your experiences.

You should use different bank accounts for different Paypal accounts if do not want them to link. Prepare for worse, hope for better.

Probably not a good idea, they keep record of everything even if you remove info..so that bank is connected to that PP now you don't want to reuse it..

plus Paypal won't care if you give them the story about other people getting that same bank account, which im not sure is possible anyway, I don't know if banks reuse account numbers...

HI: Bad idea.. Once its used for either Ebay or Paypal, its a dead issue..

I have the answer to my own question. I remove my bank account from my PP Acc. Know my paypal account is unverified. So about a week later I added the same bank account back to paypal and guest what?. they didn't need to make those 2 small deposit. as soon as I entered the routing and bank account number my paypal account was automatically verifed again. So they do keep it on file.

hoping someday someone could hack their database and clear all the records... unlimited all the limited accounts...

I'm pretty sure once you use a bank account with a PayPal account is it always linked in their system. So say you do remove it and go & try to add it to another PayPal account, you will get a message saying its in use with another PayPal account. I remember a few years back I tried it and it didn't work.

That is not true at all.

Okay sorry. I know before when I tried (and like I said this was a few years ago) it wouldn't let me. Told me it was associated with another PayPal account.

Well thats obvious it will still be recorded on the SAME account.

The question is will you be able to use it on a 2nd paypal account once you have taken it off the 1st paypal account.

PP would not let me do that. Said it was associated with another account.

I know alot of ppl say that you get linked...but if you remove your bank account from a paypal account and add it to another you wont get limited if the original account is in good standing or if you close the original account.I have done this a number of times with no problems.

If you don't mind, I would like to get this straight:
- remove bank account from a pp ac
- open a new pp account & add the old bank ac removed from old pp
- close out old pp account

if the original account is in good standing
Meaning if pp account was/is in good standing....not used/linked to a suspended eb account?

why tempt fate and cause problems to a NEW squeaky clean PayPal ??

It is so, so easy get a new bank account

If you cant do it online a bank will get you one set up within 15 mins

I am volunteering for the pp w/old bank account thing...don't believe it until I try it myself.

Have an eb ac that was recently suspended for VeRO...willing to trash the ac, not pay fees, only had 10fb anyway. Well...just removed my bank ac from pp account that matched-up to that suspended eb account. Then I closed-out the pp account completely...obviously no funds left in pp...transferred to ING by-the way w/no problem. Opened a new pp. Added the old ING to this new pp and to my amazement, I did not get the "associated with old account" warning.

Well, imo, this will be interesting to see how it not only goes in general but getting verified through ING (all the problems lately w/others using ING & PP).

Well, that didn't take long, did it?

Apr. 21, 2008: Our system detected an unusual use of funds from a bank account linked to your PayPal account.

PP is now asking for credit card, ss#, phone verification and of course awaiting 2 sm. deposits from ING account.

Now, do you think this happened because I removed a bank account from PP and then added it to a new PP account or do you think it is an ING problem?

You have to wait a few days before you add the bank account to the other PayPal account.

It happened because you removed your bank account and immediately added to a new PayPal account. You have to wait a few days before you do that. I'm not exactly sure how long you should wait but when I tried to do the same thing what you did I wasn't able to add my bank account to the new PP account. I tried it a week later and everything went well. I have that PP account running almost a year now and I never had a problem.
