I was thinking the same but knowing paypal they might find something that will end of in shutting down my account. that will be great if i can just open a tax ID and attach to the accounts

If its in your name and the business name that is on your EIN is going to be what you change your Paypal business name to you should be fine. If its something like "texas flower shop" and you have "joe blows shoe company" on PP then they will not accept it. You can try though.

sorry about those lame names. I need to work on more example names. lol

No, what you will have to do is when you give them the EIN they will require a business name and start date only. as well as what type of business entity you have. It has to match what the IRS paperwork says. Pretty much to the "T" in my case. If its not EXACT they probably send it to a person to check since the computer wont match it up. Try to avoid that if you can.

The name you put on your EIN as a contact or what ever, isnt asked of you by PP as of yet. When these folks get tired of people abusing it then its surely going to be over with. They will most likely start requiring more info.

Just file paperwork and look into an llc or something and get a ein. It will take 2 weeks or less to be rolling.

The idea that PP wont match the EIN with the name is over... I am now getting notices from PP that the name on the PP account doesn't match the records on IRS with the EIN... So that sweet idea is history...

Is this now standard procedure?
200 items per account and then SSN / EIN request?

Found the thread that does define the basis of the requirements.

Please read it carefully.

Yes... REALLY, read what @GreenBean posted.

Before you say anything, I'm very aware of the SSN / EIN request.. what I'm NOT certain of is the exact number of transactions.

If this is true then isn't it just a waste of time to build up an account with like 150+ feedback only to be limited the next 50 items no matter what the value and then your account is worthless (because of the standstill).. ? Even though now I see it's true, that is so much B.S. on eBay's part.

Yea I was very disappointed to get the notice. I matched everything to the "T". Except for the name of course, so there is no way around it. Goes back to "spread sales" which is getting harder by the minute.

Well I am gonna "blow-out" this account.... Listing everything no regard for ebay mafia.
It is Top Rated Power Seller 2+yrs old with 1400+ Positive feedback.
last 3 months zero feedback less then 4 starts
Last 12 months 1 feedback less then 4 stars
DSR is 4-9-5.0 Depending on category

By Bluntz standard that's worth like 40k...lol jk

Oh well.... 3 years ago I would have been devastated. Now thanks to you guys its "eh ok lets move on"...

How long after you submitted your info to PP that they finally send you the "no match" email?

I got the email a month or so after. Probably just my case though. I am sure it just depends on when ever your account comes up. No rhyme or reason.

As to the comment from "PTXCDEXIA".. You dont read very good do you. Or dont understand sarcasm.

The question pretty much stands for you still........ REALLY???

Question: What will happen if you open a new paypal account and attach it to the same ebay account?

Would it be possible to keep switching a lot of paypal accounts on 1 ebay account?

Personal thing between you and me, I honestly don't catch sarcasm as quick. But YES REALLY. I'm not going to go on about it here, if you don't know about what I'm talking about then you don't know. All I'm going to say is that I do bring up stuff for a reason. Not to mention, @GreenBean just stickied the linked post right after I mentioned it. I wasn't aware of the exact amount of sales because it didn't exist on top before and I didn't get to read it.

As for the OP, I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out. :/

Wondering the same thing, hope someone will answer. So they FINALLY lifted my limits after 10 months, I get this tax notice. Only problem is, it's connected to my checking account.
