Does Paypal/ Ebay Check Bank Account Name
 

Can someone tell me if eBay or Paypal checks the name of a bank account when they are verifying?

No they can't but if you transfer funds from your bank to your paypal then they do get to see the name

Thank you for both the replies. I wouldn't be doing any bank to paypal transfers, just paypal to my bank account.

Wait, but what about e-checks? Does Paypal see the name on the bank account? I got limited last time for funding my Paypal using bank account transfer. The only thing I could think of that could have triggered a limitation was my name. They didn't match exactly. So if I send an e-check, is that any safer?

yes ..........to be stealth you always want to use your bank account only for deposits .......withdrawl pp to bank account ........try to avoid echecks and adding funds from bank account goood luck!

I have a question. Can I use my savings account to get bank verified if I have already used my checking account number from the same bank for a different pp account?

Yes - savings account is different than chequing - make sure your savings accepts direct deposit.

Lol doesn't every website have a search function? This one has been on here since day 1!

Could you please be a little more specific, you say avoid E-Checks, meaning sending them as payment, or accepting them as a form of payment, just want to be safe, cheers.

I have the same question as above!

Recently PayPal said they were reviewing my bank account, so I called them and asked what it was about and they said they can't see any of my bank information, they are just checking my PayPal transactions, IP, etc.

I couldnt make any payments to anyone since my bank was gone temporarily under review, so I had to use eCheck to send a payment, can PayPal see the name under the eCheck from my bank?

My paypal name and bank name are the same last name but different first name.

I have an Chinese BA registered on my own name , I can open one or several more as I understand I can register new PP account with random name and verify it using my BA with micro deposits. They question is can I withdrawal money from this random name PP to BA with my name on it? when I withdrawal money from my PP by wire transfer to chinese BA PP show a notice that "Name on BA must match pP name otherwise return fee may be charged" .. How do you people think is there possible situation that PP will add my name to transfer details and after my bank will see the differences in name they will refuse this transfer? Or this notice just PP trick?

Welcome to the forums Z19. Many banks accept deposits under mismatched names - if you put up the name of the Chinese bank, perhaps Chinese members here can confirm if it's good for paypal or not.

I love this forum, the people that created and maintain it but that said the search function is not very user friendly. Or it very well could be I need retraining LOL on how to search.
