Can Paypal check your driver license number?
 

So my account got limited again all because I had a lot of cash in there (what the paypal rep told me), no problem though, Just need a few information about the account. So I uploaded a few documents, even my United States passport. They didnt like it and wanted my state driver license. Mine expired, So i had to do some work on it. So i called them now, and usually when my account is limited and i provide a few documents, they release the suspension. but this time, they told me they need to do a review of the account (this is the first time this account got limited).

Now, i forgot to cross out my driver license number :doh: , or more like i wanted to make it look more official. Can they do a look up using those numbers? Can they do a background check like employers at a company?

Have you ever IN THE PAST sent pp your state license using same numbers? That's my first q so we can get discussion underway.

Nope never. I even changed a random digit in the middle before submitting Just in case of anything.

If you are talking about a US driver's license, it depends on the state in which the license was issued. Some share with businesses and some do not.

Also, some states use an algorithm based on your personal information to produce the number. If the driver's license was from one of these states then they will know it is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ since you changed the number.

Yes, its a US driver license. Issued from Colorado. I been trying to google this, but so far I know California and Florida protects the information and does not share it. I cant find anything about Colorado.
