non-US Paypal accounts...
 

From as far as I can tell non US Paypal accounts allow linking local bank accounts and also US bank accounts, yes? For instance I can link my HSBC (Hong Kong) bank account as well as my Chase (US) bank account to my Hong Kong Paypal account.

Do you guys think Paypal will ever allow linking of bank accounts that are non-US? Has there ever been any talk or rumors of it? What I'm looking for is to be able to link my DBS (Singapore) bank account to my Hong Kong Paypal account. Are there any workarounds that anyone has been able to do?

Have not heard of anything. Any workarounds would likely a) not be in the open on this public subforum and b) not available to junior members with no credibility or reliability yet =( If you wish to discuss, feel free to learn and share - lots of folx do experiment...

Yeah, my current work around are simple HSBC to HSBC tranfers and the deposits and withdrawals from each Paypal account, although for some transactions, it'd be easier to not have funds leave the Paypal system. Looks like it'll be one of those wait and see things.... you never know, in the distant past they didn't even allow people in Thailand, Russia, Indonesia, etc. to have accounts.

@Mzgr - you have to figure that there are prob other workarounds in existence - problem when too much info gets out there is that good AND bad folx will use and abuse said info rendering it bad for the rest of us.

Plus - as you gain more cred and reliability, more info will naturally pop to you =)

Writing eb and pp can be effective but it's such a waste when a simple DELETE can kill your message =(
