How to reduce down to 2 PayPal accts?
 

I've had 3 PayPal accts for years. I recently found out that I'm not allowed to have more than 2. All the accts have the same name and address. I'd like to get back down to 2. If I close 1, would it trigger a check that would link my other two accts? What's the safest thing to do? Should I leave well enough alone?

I'd suggest you take out the funds in the two which are newer accounts and then close them yourself. Stick to one account otherwise they will get linked sooner or later and get shutdown with funds in them. Then you will be stuck :doh:

Can't have more than one with same details.

They'll get shut down sooner or later. Withdraw and start again is my advice

remember you can have two, but only ONE personal and ONE premier/business. if you have more than one of each close them all

You can have two, just not same type of account. The details can be the same.

You can have 2 accounts max with paypal with same information, but if one has problems the other one will go down also.

Thanks all. I'll shut one down. I just got a deposit in one though. Would it raise any redflags if I withdrew the money and then closed the acct so soon after getting a deposit? It's less than $100. Also paypal says all your information is deleted after the acct is closed. Is that true or can they come back and link a closed acct with my open accts and cause problems then?

this true? i used to have 2 business accounts (1 for buying and one for selling) and i was told i could not do that by ebay. but ebay told me i could have 2 accounts at one point! so is it true you can have one business and 1 personal?
