Recieved e-check. PayPal is going to hold it?
 

Hi guys, I have received a e-check the other day in my stealth account. the amount was a little north of 2,000USD. it says by Jan 5th-6th the payment should be cleared im just wondering once it does clears will there be a hold on it? or can i just transfer straight to my bank account. This payment was sent to me from a outside item < not for eBay..etc> So my thought process is since its not on eBay the money should be fine. and since i told the buyer the money needs to be fully cleared in my bank before i ship out and he says OK, Not a problem.


account is registered in USA. and is about 5 months old. 100% verified premier account.

Well if its an e-check my one the other day took 9 days to clear and then was immediately available.

Do you have 21 day holds? If so, this may affect it.

Be careful receiving / withdrawing that amount because I can see one hell of a limitation coming your way on withdrawal of that amount in one go

If this is an outside ebay transaction, once check clears the money is free to withdraw.

I would highly recommend waiting until item is actually delivered before withdrawing the money. The other side is I don't like leaving that dollar amount in pp. However I do highly believe that waiting 2-3 days after product is delivered will reduce chance of limitation. It would also depend on your withdraw history. :ranger:

It won't have any holds after the e-check clears. 21-day holds only happen through ebay checkout.
