Paypal is making new ways to print labels
 

I just got this in my email just minutes ago



We are replacing our current shipping label tool for another that can save you time and money.

Over the next few weeks, PayPal is directing customers to a new and improved tool for creating shipping labels.

The new PayPal tool is powered by eBay and very similar to the current one. But it is easier to use and comes with added advantages, including extra service options, and USPS shipping rates that are up to 32.5% less than what you pay now. You can read all about the benefits in the new tool's FAQs.

What Do I Need to Do?
Nothing right now. Just be aware that starting March 27, 2012, when you go to create a shipping label, you may be automatically directed to use the new PayPal tool.

How Does the Shipping Label Tool Work?
Working with the new tool should be easy and very similar to the one you use now. If you do need help, these FAQs, demos, and tutorials are right there to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

i got that same email on all my ebay accounts

I got this to and have not had time to review it but when they make changes like this there is something in it for them.

My eyes will be kept wide open.

I've been directed to this in rare situations in the past and not thought anything of it. It works the same way. ebay actually controls the payment holds over paypal transactions because paypal actually has other transactions that are off ebay, so it makes sense to have the label printed with ebay and have the tracking info communicated to paypal as opposed to the other way around

It won't affect stealth, don't worry

The fact that this e-mail is titled "Important Account Change: New Shipping Label Tool" is sooo messed up because on my phone I could only see the "Important Account Change: " part and it really freaked me out. If they worded it like that to mess with stealth users it definitely worked... :tears:

I haven't got a chance to read it. Well actually im just to lazy to click it and read it. Anyone spot out what their doing to us now?

I have one account that must have beta mode that this started several months ago. Its an ebay agreement that you create. Now the tricky part... Even if you don't sell on ebay, your labels are still processed through ebay creating extra issues if not careful.

The only reason they're doing this is to leverage their discount with USPS by being able to lump their eB and PP shipping labels into one number.

Always about leverage.

They changed the shipping label format around Christmas, but it only lasted for a day before they changed it back.
