Paypal never asked credit card code
 

I recently added a gift visa card. Paypal accepted and everything is cool. Howeever they did not ask me a the CC 4 digit code. When I click on confirm my credit card it takes me to the screen where it says add your bank to confirm. So in other words paypal did not ask me the code. I even bought things from that visa card. Is it normal?

Yes I have added a card on without have to receive the confirmation code on it. While it's not normal per say, it can happen without problems.

But if you did get the EXP code make sure you write in down in case they ask in the future.

If you added the card before adding a bank account then that is normal. When you have added the bank account you need to go to My Money settings and click to confirm the card and they will then make the charge and send the code which you can then add.

Noneother is right. This has happened to me also and then I needed to do the code. However it did make another authorization for $1.95 so be ready for that

Thank you guyz. Yes I did add CC before adding the bank. My address is confirmed and limits are lifted on paypal. Everything is cool. I checked my cc statement online so far they did charge me but no code. But I'll keep an eye on it.


BTW after adding the card it did say confirm the card and I clicked on it and took em to the bank screen where it said add bank to confirm. Now that bank is added it says "link my card" when I go to the credit card page on paypal. I have no clue what that supposed to mean.

They charged me again the money and said they will refund once I put the code.

Refund will work ok with gift visa card??

The refund will be added to your Paypal balance more than likely.

Definitely added to your PP account balance as per the Terms and Conditions - Laritha is correct.

Everyone needs to be careful with the 1.95 as some have posted they run the cards down to 2.00 range and leave just enough to cover the 1.95.

if they happen to run it twice you wont have enough on the card to cover it.
