Paypal-Incoming or Outgoing, which is of more concern?

Hello everyone :yar:

Just a very simple question of Paypal.

In your opinion, do you think that Paypal pays more attention and has more concern of money/electronic payments+transfers, 'exiting' your account or when when the funds arrive OR when electronic funds are transferred to your bank/financial institution?
In other words, if I sell all day and every day and collect my payments and allow it to accumulate and do not transfer, are they concerned enough to limit accounts...OR are they given the Red Flag/Limit when money is transferred? :juggle:
Also, would you think it would be of concerns of how old the account is?

OR...does any of this matter at all?

Thanks!

Hello waterproof :yar:
Been ages. :D

paypal is paypal.

Funds coming in raise flags.

Funds going out raise flags.

Still the same story, be careful of how the account is operated.

funds coming in they like, but going out they hate! How many people have had an account limited with funds in an account vs one that was empty?

I just got limited from an account I spent alot on buying things and was just suspended right after I tried withdrawing over $100.00. I would say outgoing is very risky.

its all about risk

if your account is taking 100 a week for a few months

then the next week you take 2 grand, sudden change mite raise an eyebrow

i always THINK its better to build these things slowly

same with outgoing,i think anything out of the norm gets flagged, just my opinion as i dont have facts to back it up

common sense more than owt:amen:

although i have had accounts limited when i sent or received higher payments than usual

rsot 04-01-2012 06:58 AM

Right on - all about risk.

Example: if all your payments coming IN are from credit card sources, it's risky because of potential charge back.`

I noticed personal accounts without having the withdrawal limits raised can receive and send quite a bit without limitation if they are aged, Now on the other hand fully verified accounts get limited, or receive 21 day holds when I apply the same tactics :spy:

I have found over the years that keeping a decent size balance in PayPal really helps because it does not look like you are trying to take the money and run. Being in the US I like to keep enough to cover fees and refund or two therefore I usually keep between $1,000-$1,500 for a given stealth account.

Makes sense makaveliagain - what kind of experience do you have with pp limited accounts?

GTB 04-02-2012 01:48 PM

yeah they feel comfortable with stability and continuity

gradually increase activity and as long as you are a honest chap

you should be fine...fingers crossed...possibly

I like to keep $100 in each account.

It seems to me that I read more that people get limited after large withdraw.

I do the same, keeping a reserve is normal business practice for me. =}

Figure 10-20 accounts taking out $1,000.00 each is 10G/20G a month. Works for me, and I never keep a high balance in Paypal maybe a couple hundred which I know I can lose and factored in to keep a reserve. :typing:

Fortunately, I have not lost any accounts since about 2009. I did however lose my main account with my SSN so that got burned. I also lost two other ones that got linked once in 2009 because I went over the 10k per month limit at the time in the US and since it was stealth they asked for SSN and other info I could not provide I was given 30 days then they maternally suspended it. The other account I lost I think was because of Flash Cookies. Then I had one eBay suspended and I had to end up closing the PayPal and re-registering the bank account using a new paypal after 3-4 months. eBay kept linking the suspended account even when I switched PCs and cookies and all that. I know making new accounts on eBay is harder because of the seller restrictions than before. For stealth accounts I always fall on the side of caution. Especially now because it takes so much work and time to get back and fully operational.

Actually I just fall on the side of caution for everything related to eBay and PayPal now. It is such a hassle to deal with any problems. I keep decent size balances because I think that is what PayPal wants to see. $1,000 may not be necessary for someone selling $200 worth of items a month. But in the US if you average out your sales and get within a few grand to the 20K threshold I think that is a solid number to be at.
