Can someone please just simply explain the diffence between AVS VCC and VCC?
 

This is really driving me crazy, and im finding it hard to get my head around head!!

Is someone willing to please explain simply the difference between AVS VCC and normal VCC?

I mean seen some vcc's with 2$ on them? and some without?

and AVS?

Right is a normal vcc ($2 on it) for verification purposes so you'll have no limits? And AVS for address verification?

Would you use vcc on a buying account? and avs on a selling account

You are getting confused by trying to apply US methods to UK selling :juggle:

Is the bottom line question how do I make a seller's account for the UK?

I did use the search button i guess i checked too many at once and got confused with us methods and uk methods it's been awhile since i made an p/p account, feel like such a waterbottle!

I am still at this point now. AVS vs. VCC :s

Setting up a US stealth account. Already have PP VBA verified, but if I'm not mistaken, I still need a VCC (or AVS) for eBay backup payments and a VCC (or AVS) for PayPal (?)

Can anyone help clear this up for me. I have searched forum and have been unable to find the answer as well as re-read stealth guide to look for a clear answer with no luck.

You are making extra steps.

You can take your already verified paypal account ( which includes the VBA acting as a bank account). You add a VCC to confirm your location & limits.
At this point you get an AVS type which does both jobs.

(as you said in that other post, the VCC only lifts limits. AVS does both).


The paypal can be attached to ebay.
You have then put on file enough to make ebay happy.
paypal is OK then too.

I see people mentioning how they need VCCs for their eBays and I guess this is what confuses me as normally eBay allows you to simply connect your PP in order to sell, which is why I was not understanding.

So If I add a AVS VCC to the PayPal, I can then connect to eBay and should be ok (if done correctly)?
