Paypal asks me to confirm phone to make payment but i can't !
 

Hi,
I'm a new member here but i have been doing eBay business for years.
Now I really want your helps.
My paypal accounts asks me to confirm phone to make payment (it's unusual because this paypal i have been using for long time, made many payments before). But when i tried to do it, it was unsuccesful because they said "we couldn't verify your phone number". I use Skype phone in (because i'm not in the US).

Skype is owned by ebay and PayPal........

Thanks. I know that. But I have been doing business on eBay for about 2 years and using Skype is not a problem. If it's a problem, what's the solution ? Anyone can help ?

Actually Skype is now owned by Microsoft.

It was sold to them last year by e/b fof 8.5 billion dollars.

So... any suggestion ? I really want to cooperate. I have good business to deal with you guys :">

My mistake good catch I stop using them a few years ago. But I'm sure ebay still might have ties to them idk. OP maybe try another skype number?

hey i'm having a similar problem to the OP, i'm trying to pay for a 2 ebay purchases and paypal wants to do a phone verification. I tried a google voice number forwarding to my cell and that didn't work... also tried a tracfone # and again, it didn't work. I couldn't find much information on this topic but reading over some posts I found that a landline might be required... not sure how true this is but I would just like to get some thoughts and hopefully suggestions for this issue. I would like to make payment for the items I bought, this isn't the first purchase I've made on ebay as well, and it's not the first time I'm sending money through paypal for an invoice...

You can perhaps try buying a number from a phone forwarding service

I used yahoo phone to do the paypal verification two months ago. It did work. Remember to choose the area code according to the address on file.

Made a couple of new accounts today and even listed on non verified accounts with no problems.
