180 Day wait for funds to be released

Has anyone gotten their money after waiting the 180 days?

When I called PP they said my account was limited due its link with my EB account. They stated that I had to resolve my EB before I could get off the limited or wait 180 days for the funds.

I have done my research on here and see that many of the older posts (>2010) did not get their money. Has anyone recently gotten theirs?

Welcome to the forum :D

Yes users are getting their funds. Yours might be a different issue.

You need to elaborate on the story.

Too vague to give useful advice.

Do I gather your ebay is suspended and paypal have limited usage of your account ? :spy:

What happened to your ebay?

EB suspended due to link to my brothers account that was shutdown due to bad FB and the lady said he may have sold a bad item

Mar 17, 2012: We noticed one or more of the following problems:

You provided information that we believe was false, inaccurate, or misleading; or
You sent or received money that was potentially related to fraudulent activity; or
You have more than one account with a negative balance; or
You are in violation of the User Agreement, the Commercial Entity Agreement, the Acceptable Use Policy, or another agreement you have with PayPal.

Our decision was based on terms outlined in these agreements.

Because of this, we've limited your accounts and can no longer offer our services to you. You'll still be able to log in to view your transaction history, but you won't be able to send or receive money.

Mar 15, 2012: When you signed up for your PayPal account, you agreed to our User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Because some of your recent transactions violated this policy, we've had to permanently limit your account.

Please remove any references to PayPal from your website.

You'll be able to withdraw any money in your account 180 days after your last transaction. We'll email you when it's ready to be withdrawn

All my info is correct on PP as this is the same one I used to pay for all my online games, pay for online shopping and so forth.

(Been researching for a while now)

Thanks rsot, makes me feel better knowing that recently someones has cleared

Yes they still do the 180 days - now, you havent said if you are linked to a pp account that is in DEBT with pp...i.e. monies owed - THAT could be a problem.

They will just require that the other account be made current before they will release the funds. A simple phone call asking them to deduct the balance due on the other account from the funds available from the account that is locked will take care of this problem. Just did it myself.

I don't have another PP account that I know of...should I ask my brother or dad if they do?

Could ask your brother if he has bad issues with pp/eb in the past

Be careful of this.

Some users have had troubles because their family had problems.

Double check with your brother what his ebay problem is.

You could have to fight to get your funds.

I'm not trying to scare you. But paypal has played games like this before. :peace:

Find as much out as you can from your brother.

Share what info you can & we'll advise you.

You need to be aware now...:ranger:
