New paypal!

Hey, I recently turned 18 and now I do not "need" my stealth paypal anymore. I have passes a couple account limitations with paypal so my stealth info is pretty legit.

However, I will keep running my stealth paypal, but my question is what if I create a personal account under my real information instead of my business?

Does paypal link their accounts together as ebay does? What is the penalty for this? Please provide me with any ramifications of doing this to both my ebay and paypal accounts.

Thank you in advance.

Fair enough but if it's nicely "purring", keep it functioning.

Only create real info account if 1) you are sure you will manage it well 2) you understand HOW linking occurs 3) you are sure you won't be linked.

Ramifications? Worst - you will be suspended/banned.

But seriously If you don't have a Legit Ebay + PayPal account yet due to your age then open one up from scratch with your legit info and keep working your stealth account. If you have already built it up (your stealth) don't let it go.

It's like a good woman, when you find a good one don't let go! but that's another topic.

Does a paypal account ban mean an ebay account ban?
This is the third time they are limiting my paypal account (probably because of increased sales) but now they are asking for photo id... I made this account with all my business "stealth" information including a DBA name, for which I do not have a valid photo ID..

And they want a utility bill, I have a UPS suite for my business address.. making a utility bill impossible to obtain.

You sold too much to quickly.

If you have had this happen several times you need to stop and re think what you are doing.

willicks 05-24-2012 11:35 AM

But wont they eventually ask for that regardless?

rsot 05-24-2012 01:04 PM

Never 100% - can be operated slowly without problems.

Sandy D 05-24-2012 06:48 PM

Low and slow is the way to go.

I have tons of stealth accounts over 1 year old and have never been asked for anything on any of them.

Only have been asked on one account and it was my real account which they were kind enough to let me know they did not get my info years ago. :cheer:

And on that account I did what you did, sell tons of stuff fast and on purpose to see what would happen and got it with the kitchen sink.

Testing things is important to learning.

How slow are we talking?

I sell yard sale crap for the first 3 months or so on an account.

Then move into the higher priced stuff.

If you get 10-500 like most are sell your 10 items, ship fast etc and hope they limits get raised.

Then sell 20 items etc.

Sell up to your limits each month but not high priced or risky items.

willicks 05-24-2012 11:06 PM

I had my limits raised by ebay because of my good performance, but now paypal wants photo ID and a utility bill. I am having trouble with this because the stealth book has a grey area in this dilemma.

Hope you pm'ed a moderator about this.

Probably has something to do with what you are selling and how fast you sold it etc.

When they ask for this it tells me you did something that trigger them wanting these particular items.

Excellent advice

willicks you were doing well but not great as you triggered a flag 3 times. Right now you either can be creative about getting the documents or call them up and try to get around it.

jamcocktail21 05-28-2012 01:50 AM

As Baloch mentioned be creative and everything should be ok

rsot 05-28-2012 11:32 AM

Think it worked out for the OP.

willicks 05-29-2012 01:30 PM

Hello, no it has not worked out. I have contacted a few people via PMs however I have not received much help aside from thoughts....
