Protection for Personal Payments

I just convinced a buyer to send me payment via Personal payment, listed as "Payment Owed."

As a plus, this payment is not done through eBay at all so there is no hold or any fees.

I have a question: If the buyer tried to file any sort of dispute, what would be his chances of winning since it is a personal payment?

None at all - but if he told Paypal what you had done your account wouldn't last long.

Silly idea - just do what needs to be done and get through the 21 day hold thingy

Do this too often and it will end in tears, e/b know the score.

Be careful it could well lead to a limitation.

Paypal is not inclined to believe a buyer. I've had people threaten me before, both in auction and have people call Paypal and try to shut me down because I am dominating my niche. This includes competitors who created ⊗⊗⊗⊗ eBays to bid on my stuff then not pay.

No one is immune from p/p

Push them too often and your account will be history. They don't need any of us.

There is a method that regardless of any payment, personal, gift, payment owed... anything doesn't matter the buyer will have a 100% money back guaranteed by Paypal. The method is being spread around so chances of a buyer winning a dispute now days is HIGH!

An absolute guarantee they will get their money back regardless of how they pay.

Scammers paradise.

Use every tool in the box to protect yourself i.e. p/p only payments, tracked shipping to registered address only. At least then you have a chance.
