How much time do I have on this account?

Is there a dollar amount that i should look for that will get my to be asked for ids by paypal? This account is 9 months old and has taken in around $12000 so far...should i cool it off? and if so for how long? When i had my legit account it took about 15 months to be asked and $25000 in sales before I was asked for ids but that was years ago so i need to know what to expect....thanks
