No. The EIN is a buffer which is why its use is suggested

So if I register an EIN number with my real information and add it to my stealth account with all different information, this will work?? Please clarify, I was just hit with the same request from PayPal.

The 200 and 20k is NOT CONCRETE.

It is just a range.

IRS has placed PP in a spot by asking them to get this information on any account that has the POTENTIAL to hit these numbers.

I just got hit with it with a small amount of sales.

Someone incorrectly keeps saying you have to hit both and you do not.

It was reported here a few months ago by a poster who does not post anymore that she had 150 sales and 12k and got hit with it.

Remember, it is the POTENTIAL for you to hit these numbers.

You can get it with 200 sales, or 20k in sale but you can also get it without hitting those numbers.

yes it is the potential to hit those numbers that paypal might request the info....But they are not required to report any earnings unless the user hits 200/20k.
