Hello, why is it now not recommended that you use a family members/friends details in order to create a paypal for yourself. Thanks for any help.

Simple.

The account goes down and you get banned and use their info you are putting them in harms way.

Many have reported losing friends and family members over doing this.

I know of one person who did this and used this parents total info. including SSN etc.

Lifted all limits, listed 2000 items, did not ship the items, got banned, owed thousands of dollars to eb and to pp.

Sheriff shows up at the parents house.

Parents credit report gets nailed.

Debt collectors come after parents.

You know the rest.

Question for you.

Why use their info?

You can make a very successful account without it easily.

This is where I must be getting confused as if they were to request information like my driving license etc I wouldn't be able to provide it as it would link it back to my previous accounts.

If you continue to read you will see more about the DL.

I have been asked for the DL I think 5 times in the last almost two years.

There are ways to avoid being asked.
