Default PayPal's newest trick ...they don't release the money after 6 months.

I have an account that has about $100 in it. Not a big amount, I nearly forgot about it. It was suspended 7 months ago exactly today. PayPal always asks for the passport copy to un-limit the account. I keep telling them I will not provide it (obviously, since its in a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name) but they keep asking for it. They never give me the permanent limitation notice with the 6 months release clause, though.

That obviously allows them to hold the money indefinitely. Horrible, isn't it? Now that $100 isn't going to make me lose any sleep, but still.

It appears if they don't limit you permanently and keep asking for more information, they can hold your money past the 6 months.

And they released the funds after the 6 months were up even if you didn't send the information?

thats pretty dodgy, there trying to hold onto if for even longr, i wonder what they invest in, or maybe they use it to keep eBays shareholders happy since the price continues to fall.

Surely they would send the funds after 6 months regardless, as their terms and conditions state they will hold your money for a maximum of 180 days?

mantis, No they do not release the money because they have not told IJM that the account is limited. All they are doing is 'holding' the money waiting for the documents...a very subtle difference.

I sent them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ documents about 6 months ago and they just keep asking for more documentation. They never tell me its permanently limited.
