how can i check to see if an buyer's email address is registered with paypal?
 

I am taking payments for products/services I am selling online.

Is there a method I can use to see if a buyer's email address is already a registered Paypal user?

Reason being I am a bit reluctant to send out too many PP money requests to unregistered users.

I want to avoid having too many open or 'pending' unanswered money requests (that remain open) in the event the buyer is not registered and opts for an alternative payment method.

I'm worried having too many open money requests will flag my stealth account.

Any help or advice regarding the above would be greatly appreciated.

All you have to is prepare the invoice before you send it. Type in the details of the order, email address, amount, goods/services etc.... then in the next screen it will tell you if the person is a registered user.

Although, even someone who isn't registered can still pay with a credit card. Open money requests will not flag an account. Too many payments too fast will flag it.
